Mood Tests (self-rated), Mood Tests (rated by friend): Two tests which can help your doctor identify what type of depression you have and how you might respond to antidepressants.

Mood Spectrum Scale: A scale to rate your mood symptoms over the past week.

Mood Chart: A form to monitor mood swings and bipolar disorder (this is an MS Word file of Dr. Aiken’s version). Other available versions are at:

General Five Spectrum Scale:  This is a general test designed to identify symptoms that do not fit neatly into diagnostic categories.  There are more comprehensive tests like this available at the Spectrum Project, a European research institute that specializes in this area (click on U.S., then click on Instruments).
