Tiagabine (gabatril)
is a medicine for epilepsy which is only beginning to be studied for
psychiatric conditions. So far it
appears to have potential benefits in anxiety, sleep and post-traumatic
stress disorder. Unlike other sleep
medicines, tiagabine does not tend to make people
tired or help them fall asleep.
Instead, it helps restore the quality of sleep, so that the sleep
you get is more restful.
